This course meets MLO6: Research and Technology
The WLC 300 course was an exciting course to take because it was the first steps into finalizing my career as a student at CSUMB and being prepared to enter a new environment where I am able to join my community as a teacher. We were introduced to the opportunities that we can take advantage of after graduation as well as personal views of past graduate students from CSUMB and what they have decided to do after they finished their own set of MLOs. This course is where I learned to use technology in different ways such as for this Eportfolio where I present to people who I am as a student graduating from California State University of Monterey Bay and how I plan on using everything I have learned and apply it to my future career as a teacher. Each week the class was led by a different instructor where we focused on those aspects in class. We did this through class discussions and weekly readings. We also did this by listening to presentations from people outside of the classroom that volunteered to show the students how they have applied what they have learned through similar classes into the real world. This was a great opportunity to compare certain desired careers and see what fits us the most and what we have to do as almost graduating students to acquire those same or similar goals. One of the most important assignments out of the course was the creation of our own resume. This resume was turned in more than once, each time being marked up for corrections that were to be made or suggestions for it. That was extremely helpful for me as a senior student at CSUMB as it allowed me to work on my resume and make it as best as I can for future districts to see and know what I have done over the years to make me hirable for the job. Take a look at the results of taking this course, which is my Capstone project.
